7:00am - 9:30am

COST:
$40 per 2-day clinic Includes 2 weeks of UH Masters Swimming
$20 discount for current UH Masters swimmers & age group swimmers training with their own clubs

SPRINTS
Including Starts & Turns
All Strokes

Emphasis on:
• Power off the blocks
• Maintain momentum in & out of turns
• Dynamic Explosive Speed
• Legs for speed
• Increase stroke rate
• Minimize drag & inefficiencies
• Develop “Race Pace” feel for the water

BACKSTROKE & BUTTERFLY

Emphasis on:
• Increase stroke rate
• Improve body position & bouyancy
• Develop deep catch/deep press (back)
• Arm to arm swimming (back)
• Improve timing - stroke/breath/kick
• Effortless, efficient power
• Develop “total body” kick (fly)
• Power through excelleration

FREESTYLE
Sprint, Middle & Long Distance
Approach to all freestyle events

Emphasis on:
• Speed over any distance
• Discover ideal stroke rate
• Improve stroke stroke efficiency
• Build speed and power
• Develop ability to “change gears”
• Develop ideal pace for each specific race
• Minimize drag/resistance
