This weekend I went to Ala Moana Bowls, for a 3 day Local Motion Surf in the Summer contest! My division was Open Women. My first heat had Taira Barron and Tory Titcomb and I placed 2nd behind Tory, so I advanced myself to the repo with a few 5's and 4's.
For my next heat the surf was bad, the winds already turned South East and it was choppy and blown out, but I surfed well in the repo and managed my way up to the top 3 with Amy Lawson and Taira Barron.
The next day was the finals. I surfed okay, got the place I deserved (4th) and had a good first experience of surfing a contest at Bowls!
